Email -
  • We accept only incoming mail with properly configured DNS (forward & reverse)
  • We run an anti-virus software at the email server (with nightly virus pattern updates)
  • We send out only mail that resolves from your physical sending IP / IP Block

Cannot Receive Any Mail
When the mail attempts to receive but never finishes, it indicates a corrupt mailbox.  The mailbox can become corrupt for 2 major reasons.
  1. A dial up internet connection was abruptly disconnected
  2. Someone attempted to send you a 'virus' infected email

In either case the solution is the same, the mailbox needs to be cleared.

To Clear the Mailbox
1. Login to the email web interface at: http://mail.yourdomainname.com:8000
2. Select the radio button - "Check Your Mailbox"  - Press 'Submit' Button
3. Select the radio button - "Display Your Mailbox Directory" - if you would like to attempt to read the mail - but if it was corrupt all your messages & senders may be displayed as 'unknown'.  Press 'Submit' Button
4. Select the radio button - "Delete all mail from your mailbox including any unread - Make sure to check the check box that states " <-Check this box to confirm." Press 'Submit' Button
5. You will see a screen stating 'Your mailbox has been cleared" Press "Submit" Button to Continue
6. Select the radio button - "Return to Main Menu" . Press "Submit" Button to Continue
7. Select the radio button - "Logoff the system". Press "Submit" Button to Continue

If you suspect it was an email virus and would like more information regarding the sender.  Please email us at info@affluencywebs.com with approximate dates and times.  We will review logs and provide you with more information regarding the incident.

Cannot Receive Mail from a certain sender
This indicates that the sending email machine may have improperly configured DNS records.  Please review the following 'technical' documentation and provide a link to this page to your sender so they may notify their ISP of the issue.
